Yes Finally Elon Musk plans on linking human brains to computers

Making progress. Maybe something to announce in a few months. Have played all prior Deus Ex. Not this one yet.

Elon Musk is announcing a new venture called Neuralink, which will be focused on linking brains to computers. According to The Wall Street Journal, the company plans to develop brain implants that can treat neural disorders and then if all goes as planned, will eventually help human beings merge with software and then put humans at par with with future intelligent computers. These enhancements could improve memory or allow for more direct interfacing with computing devices.

On Twitter, Musk responded to inquiring fans about his progress on the project and also said it may be announced in a few months time. For now the company is still in the earliest stages of existence and has no public presence yet.

Musk has long worried about the threat artificial intelligence might pose to the human race, could merging the human brain with AI be the best possible way such threats will be solved if they arise? Also, since humans will be linked to AI, lets hope we are not controlled by AI instead of it being controlled by humans.
